Spectators: 6710 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1710, VIP seats: 0) Adriel Mutis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th of the match, Blanco Deramond tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Elías Wheeler got in the way and made a wonderful save. Próspero Ruedi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobaldo Alcaide's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Blanco Deramond took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Elías Wheeler to make any attempt to save it. When Juan Alberto Esparza fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candelaria's protests and gave Juan Alberto Esparza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Deportes Temuco booed when Candelaria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Juan Alberto Esparza didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Luciano Herzl had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elías Wheeler. Candelaria's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luciano Herzl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Próspero Ruedi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriel Mutis in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Teobaldo Alcaide got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Club Deportes Temuco's Próspero Ruedi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teobaldo Alcaide in the 27th minute of play. Teobaldo Alcaide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 29th match minute, Club Deportes Temuco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alarico Arjona to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adriel Mutis in the 31st minute of play forced Club Deportes Temuco's goalkeeper Próspero Ruedi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 41 played minutes Candelaria got a freekick which was hit by Benicio Magallanes. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Adriel Mutis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Próspero Ruedi having to interfere. Teobaldo Alcaide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Teobaldo Alcaide in the 63rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Próspero Ruedi, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Blanco Deramond might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elías Wheeler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blanco Deramond ran back to his position shaking his head. After 71 played minutes Club Deportes Temuco got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Anania. Aurelio Fazzini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Próspero Ruedi made a huge save. Teobaldo Alcaide struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Próspero Ruedi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Candelaria. Aldo Pena's late challenge caught a Candelaria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aldo Pena helped the player get up and apologised. After 77 played minutes Club Deportes Temuco got a freekick which was hit by Aldo Pena. In the 81st play minute Teobaldo Alcaide came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Próspero Ruedi. 2-1. In the 84th minute Luciano Herzl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elías Wheeler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Candelaria's Elías Wheeler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luciano Herzl in the 86th minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Luciano Herzl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Deportes Temuco's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luciano Herzl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute of the match Candelaria got a corner. Club Deportes Temuco's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Aurelio Fazzini ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Candelaria's Fernando Ascue getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Teobaldo Alcaide sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Candelaria's Teobaldo Alcaide got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Club Deportes Temuco's zone, Teobaldo Alcaide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Próspero Ruedi came out of the goal and Teobaldo Alcaide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Club Deportes Temuco support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
