In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Magallanes FC's goalkeeper Sarracino Lagarrigue, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Milián Canío blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sarracino Lagarrigue having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Brandipalca's Edgar Cavareda got a free kick in the 37th minute. Loreno Parodi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tanausu Alcayaga in the 39th minute. If Francisco José Monzón had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute of the match Enzo Acosta shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Loreno Parodi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Val Piñeiro was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Magallanes FC getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Quintán Portal hit a great ball. Magallanes FC's Sarracino Lagarrigue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Magallanes FC from getting a goal against them. In the 62nd minute Francisco José Monzón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loreno Parodi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Milián Canío could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Sarracino Lagarrigue made a huge save. Benito Olavarrieta kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Edgar Cavareda shot from long distance in the 67th minute, but Sarracino Lagarrigue was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Tanausu Alcayaga hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. After having played for 71 minutes, Milián Canío managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brandipalca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milián Canío was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filomeno Faille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loreno Parodi having to interfere. Desiderio Edwards sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Brandipalca walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
