When Cristo Salva's Jacinto Paez in 18 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Loreno Parodi guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Fulgencio Wormald kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Lino Lezaeta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute Patricio Manquilef shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alvino Borda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 30th minute, but Alvino Borda got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving Cristo Salva hanging dry this time. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Milián Canío sped through Cristo Salva's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alvino Borda. Desiderio Edwards could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Alvino Borda made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jacinto Paez during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 65th minute, Lino Lezaeta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Brandipalca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulgencio Wormald was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristo Salva were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Brandipalca's much stronger midfield.
