Spectators: 7368 (Terracing: 5527, Seating: 1694, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Urtsín Bolton started the match with the kick off. Raimundo Oxman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvino Borda having to interfere. Miguel Hernánde Escobillana kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Cristo Salva's Christian Formoso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 16th match minute, Rancagua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romelio Helo to maneuver through the defense. Urtsín Bolton scored 0-1 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alvino Borda, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rexino Vega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 27 minutes, Jacinto Paez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cristo Salva and the Rancagua players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacinto Paez kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the match, Cristo Salva's Jacinto Paez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Héctor Barriga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Raimundo Oxman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rancagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Oxman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvino Borda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rancagua's Romelio Helo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cristo Salva. 42 minutes into the match, Rancagua's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Paez came free, but Héctor Barriga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Héctor Barriga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Paez in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

In the 53rd minute, Ezmundo Milan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Urtsín Bolton kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Alvino Borda. That made the score 0-2 in the 57 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Raimundo Oxman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rancagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Oxman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvino Borda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Urtsín Bolton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Alvino Borda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Raimundo Oxman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 78 minutes into the game, Teodor Ureta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristo Salva's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rancagua the free kick. After 79 played minutes Cristo Salva got a freekick which was hit by Teodor Ureta. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Urtsín Bolton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rancagua's supporters rose to their feet, but Urtsín Bolton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvino Borda breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 85 minutes into the game, Cristo Salva's Jacinto Paez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Héctor Barriga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Urtsín Bolton might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alvino Borda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urtsín Bolton ran back to his position shaking his head. Rancagua's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
