In the 5th minute, Francisco José Romero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alcides Fanta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaime Doebbel in the 16th minute of the match. Timeteo Phillips received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Jordi Espina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Mandoneados FC's José Ignacio Rivera got a free kick in the 19th minute. Gregorio Martin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Alcides Fanta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Francisco José Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 34 minutes into the match, Vilupulli FC's goal looked a bit too open when Timeteo Phillips came free, but Jordi Espina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Mandoneados FC's Francisco José Romero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jordi Espina narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregorio Martin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vilupulli FC's Xaime Doebbel got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xaime Doebbel in the 48th minute of play forced Mandoneados FC's goalkeeper Alcides Fanta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xaime Doebbel to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Xaime Doebbel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Gregorio Martin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcides Fanta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Timeteo Phillips blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jordi Espina having to make a save. Francisco José Romero struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Jordi Espina didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mandoneados FC. Timeteo Phillips fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jordi Espina having to interfere. If Francisco José Romero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xaime Doebbel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alcides Fanta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Xaime Doebbel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Xaime Doebbel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcides Fanta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 81 minutes, Xaime Doebbel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilupulli FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xaime Doebbel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 83 minutes into the match, Vilupulli FC's Gregorio Martin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alcides Fanta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alcides Fanta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaime Doebbel in the 88th minute of the match. After 96 minutes, Timeteo Phillips mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mandoneados FC and the Vilupulli FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 97 played minutes Mandoneados FC got a freekick which was hit by Timeteo Phillips. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vilupulli FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mandoneados FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
