Spectators: 6714 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Saturnino Arregui got the match started through his kick off. When Danél Urbano came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Huyar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danél Urbano couldn't finish the play. Ramón Garrido charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramón Garrido the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Huyar's zone, Filiberto Cisternas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lucio Jose María Galdames came out of the goal and Filiberto Cisternas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 34 minutes, Filiberto Cisternas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelchuquin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filiberto Cisternas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Filiberto Cisternas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th match minute, Huyar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Garrido to maneuver through the defense. When Ramón Garrido was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 39 minutes had been played. A collision led to Huyar getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Ramón Garrido hit a great ball. Lucio Jose María Galdames came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Pelchuquin FC's Saturnino Arregui. But to his dismay, Saturnino Arregui quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Filiberto Cisternas kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danél Urbano was the one to do the kick off. In the 52ndth minute of the game Saturnino Arregui who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Huyar's Lucio Jose María Galdames was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Pelchuquin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cirilo Schindler to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Pelchuquin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danél Urbano came free, but Alfredo Lama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Filiberto Cisternas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Lucio Jose María Galdames when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saturnino Arregui in the 68th minute of play forced Huyar's goalkeeper Lucio Jose María Galdames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Raymundo Barcelo during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jose Ramon Aránguiz hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When Saturnino Arregui came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Pelchuquin FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Saturnino Arregui couldn't finish the play. If Filiberto Cisternas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Pelchuquin FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Pelchuquin FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
