Geraldo Landea recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute of the match, Franco Mosquera tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eustaquio Falleto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Adriel Sáez hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Geraldo Landea's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 22ndth minute, Eustaquio Falleto skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Geraldo Landea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Eustaquio Falleto made a huge save. After 27 played minutes Colicheo got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Rueda. The supporters of Colicheo booed when Vallenar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriel Sáez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Colicheo's Franco Mosquera in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Adriel Sáez helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Colicheo booed when Vallenar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adriel Sáez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vallenar's Eustaquio Falleto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Vallenar from getting a goal against them. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Vinos Fischer made the kick off in the second half. Franco Mosquera might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eustaquio Falleto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franco Mosquera ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 57th minute, Adriel Sáez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geraldo Landea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Eustaquio Falleto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eustaquio Falleto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franco Mosquera, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vinos Fischer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Vinos Fischer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eustaquio Falleto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Landea in the 75th minute of the match. Odín Astete showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinos Fischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Vinos Fischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odín Astete having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Antonio Freudenburg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vallenar's Antonio Freudenburg got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 89 played minutes Vinos Fischer rounded Colicheo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. 93 minutes into the match, Vallenar's goal looked a bit too open when Franco Mosquera came free, but Eustaquio Falleto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
