The referee ignored Inazuma Eleven's protests and gave Rómulo Haverbeck a yellow card for diving instead. After 2 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Inazuma Eleven! After 5 played minutes Inazuma Eleven got a freekick which was hit by Quintén Gálvez. In the 14th minute, Geraldo Landea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colicheo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Inazuma Eleven's Francisco José Massú played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franco Mosquera in the 20th minute of play. In the 29th minute Alfredo Rueda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco José Massú saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raúlo Arcos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odín Astete having to interfere. A collision led to Colicheo getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Theobald Bermúdez hit a great ball. Franco Mosquera blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco José Massú having to make a save. Geraldo Landea struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Francisco José Massú didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colicheo. Franco Mosquera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco José Massú read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Inazuma Eleven's goalkeeper Francisco José Massú, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Franco Mosquera stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Inazuma Eleven's Nahuel Echeverría got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Franco Mosquera's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisco José Massú read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Geraldo Landea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colicheo's supporters rose to their feet, but Geraldo Landea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Francisco José Massú breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Franco Mosquera kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Francisco José Massú. That made the score 0-2 in the 62 minute of play. Raúlo Arcos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Odín Astete tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nahuel Echeverría had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franco Mosquera in the 75th minute of play forced Inazuma Eleven's goalkeeper Francisco José Massú to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 78 minutes, Nahuel Echeverría managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inazuma Eleven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nahuel Echeverría was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute of the game, Cosme Curiñanco landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 80 played minutes Colicheo got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Rueda. In the 82nd minute, one of Inazuma Eleven:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Inazuma Eleven. Francisco José Massú showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franco Mosquera in the 89th minute of the match. In the 91st minute of the match Colicheo got a corner. Inazuma Eleven's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eliseo Godoy ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 93rd play minutes Geraldo Landea shot 0-4, a short shot which went by Francisco José Massú and just under the crossbar into goal. Franco Mosquera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Francisco José Massú tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
