Bruno Kovasic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Luis María Morillo made a huge save. Luis María Morillo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vinos Millas, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Chumelden were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Alona FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xabel Siña took the corner. Chumelden's Xabel Siña was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Luis María Morillo in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. If Vinos Millas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vinos Millas struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Luis María Morillo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chumelden. 13 minutes into the game, Chumelden's Bruno Kovasic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luis María Morillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Luis María Morillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vinos Millas in the 20th minute of play. Bruno Kovasic received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Luis María Morillo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Alona FC's goalkeeper Luis María Morillo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bruno Kovasic. Vinos Millas might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luis María Morillo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinos Millas ran back to his position shaking his head. Alona FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 30th minute, when Vinos Millas scored to the left of an out of position Luis María Morillo, making the score, 2-0. The supporters of Alona FC booed when Chumelden was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xabel Siña didn't get a good kick on the ball. Teodosio Grajales took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fulco Ordaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Leovigildo Schmauk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodosio Grajales having to interfere. If José Ignacio Magdahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

José Ignacio Magdahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 68th minute Vinos Millas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis María Morillo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 71st match minute, Chumelden was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amadeo Letelier to maneuver through the defense. Luis María Morillo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Kovasic in the 78th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chumelden fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alona FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
