With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jose Esteban Jordan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 5 minutes into the match, Marchihue AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Ramon Martínez Lamas came free, but Jose Esteban Jordan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Pepito García sped through Marchihue AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jose Esteban Jordan. 10 minutes into the match, Pepito García had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jose Esteban Jordan. Marchihue AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Pepito García was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Evaristo Torres got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot by Lolo Lizardi from long distance, 26 minutes into the match, got Jose Esteban Jordan's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Pepito García received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jose Esteban Jordan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Marchihue AFC's zone, Pepito García stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Esteban Jordan came out of the goal and Pepito García tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Heliodoro Binder during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th minute, Heliodoro Binder hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Marchihue AFC's zone, Pepito García stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jose Esteban Jordan came out of the goal and Pepito García tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Evaristo Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 47 minutes, Pepito García made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Marchihue AFC's Jose Esteban Jordan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.
