The corner ended in Maxín Formoso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Carelmapu's Raúlo Máximo did a great save. If Modestio Parada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carelmapu's Mario Chandia got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Edmundo Cobaleda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 22nd minute, Modestio Parada fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After 28 minutes, Mateo Quiero mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Carelmapu and the Poblacion FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Carelmapu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateo Quiero to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rdth minute of the game Selmo Máximo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poblacion FC's Tomás Parrasia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Selmo Máximo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Tomás Parrasia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Selmo Máximo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 55th minute, Modestio Parada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poblacion FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience was convinced that Modestio Parada's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúlo Máximo was relentless in the 58th minute of the game. A collision led to Poblacion FC getting a freekick after 60 minutes play.
