After 20 played minutes Chocalan got a freekick which was hit by Eufrasio Cousiño. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darien Maillard in the 22nd minute of play forced Macul AFC's goalkeeper Xavi Cohen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frances Izamit's late challenge caught a Chocalan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frances Izamit helped the player get up and apologised. In the 38th minute, Frances Izamit hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Macul AFC's goalkeeper Xavi Cohen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
