Planchada's Manu Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruesga Cañas in the 21st minute of play. Manu Delgado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ruesga Cañas went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 33rdth minute of the game Salamón Rakela who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PORONGO's Alirio Madaune was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 44th minute Rollo Orozco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manu Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ruesga Cañas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Ruesga Cañas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Manu Delgado made a huge save. Isaiás Poveda's late challenge caught a PORONGO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salamón Rakela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alirio Madaune having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rollo Orozco in the 90th minute of play forced Planchada's goalkeeper Manu Delgado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alirio Madaune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salamón Rakela in the 95th minute of the match.
