After 8 played minutes Higuerta FC got a freekick which was hit by Aureo Sol. After having played for 17 minutes, Quintán Peragallo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huentemo AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quintán Peragallo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerardo Olasagutia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yoel Puyol in the 22nd minute of the match. If Yoel Puyol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Quintán Peragallo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Huentemo AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. After some careless play in the Higuerta FC defense, Quintán Peragallo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerardo Olasagutia. The Higuerta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerardo Olasagutia should have stopped the shot. In the 36th minute, one of Higuerta FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Higuerta FC. Quintán Peragallo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerardo Olasagutia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Yoel Puyol made a kick off. 60 minutes into the game, Edmundo Bello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huentemo AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Higuerta FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Huentemo AFC's Edmundo Bello got a free kick in the 60th minute. After having played for 60 minutes, Caupolicán Ferari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Higuerta FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caupolicán Ferari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeraldo Schmidt kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Yoel Puyol had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerardo Olasagutia. Higuerta FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yoel Puyol was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-0. In the 74th match minute, Higuerta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juan Estevan Schiappacasse to maneuver through the defense. If Quintán Peragallo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Higuerta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Yoel Puyol came free, but Jerardo Olasagutia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huentemo AFC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
