Matador.SR's Ireno Bari proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Matador.SR from getting a goal against them. Odilón Lavandero took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 18th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Donato Fariña. Trabzonspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ireno Bari was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fermín Luna showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Ireno Bari made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Nauzet Pairoa sent off a good shot on target. Matador.SR's Ireno Bari played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavio Boza in the 33rd minute of play. If Aníbal Anabalon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aníbal Anabalon in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Donato Fariña prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Flavio Boza hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 55 minutes into the game, when Theobald Mofre put in a rough tackle. In the 56th match minute, Matador.SR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theobald Mofre to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Aníbal Anabalon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matador.SR's supporters rose to their feet, but Aníbal Anabalon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Donato Fariña breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 65th minute, Aníbal Anabalon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Odilón Lavandero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fermín Luna's late challenge caught a Matador.SR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fermín Luna helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Matador.SR booed when Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermín Luna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aníbal Anabalon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Boza took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ireno Bari. Trabzonspor's Leonides Lezaeta got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th match minute, Trabzonspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fermín Luna to maneuver through the defense. After 85 played minutes Matador.SR got a freekick which was hit by Odilón Lavandero. After 87 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Podador Quezada. After 90 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Adán Mogollon. After having played for 93 minutes, Leonides Lezaeta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leonides Lezaeta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matador.SR's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Trabzonspor had won, even though Matador.SR had held more of the ball.
