He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in El Bulla's zone, Bruno Gronows stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabián Burboa came out of the goal and Bruno Gronows tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ruperto Villamil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Fabián Burboa made a huge save. 31 minutes into the match, Maximiliano Portes notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Malloco's Cristofer Quilodrán. Cristofer Quilodrán was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 35th minute, Luciano Pelissier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Malloco's goalkeeper Cristofer Quilodrán, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Maximiliano Portes might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristofer Quilodrán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximiliano Portes ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The crowd rose to their feet as El Bulla's Oliverio Zúñiga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cristofer Quilodrán. That made the score 0-5 after 67 minutes of play. In the 72nd minute, Izydor Gardocki had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Luciano Pelissier's late challenge caught a El Bulla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Pelissier helped the player get up and apologised. If Maximiliano Portes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Luis Azúa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maximiliano Portes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristofer Quilodrán having to interfere.
