Malloco's Bruno Gronows got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 24 minutes into the game, Bonifacio Garnham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Cristofer Quilodrán was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice moves Ruperto Villamil could shoot a difficult shot in the 30th minute, which Armando Acevedo however easily saved by the left post. Bonifacio Garnham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Cristofer Quilodrán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Bruno Gronows shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Acevedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Adelino Alcaide made a kick off. Ramón Mena charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramón Mena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Bonifacio Garnham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Adelino Alcaide might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristofer Quilodrán. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
