Noé Erazo was a little too slow when Ruperto Villamil got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Malloco's Cristofer Quilodrán played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timeteo Liñán in the 28th minute of play. Ruperto Villamil could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Noé Erazo made a huge save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bruno Gronows in the 31st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Noé Erazo saved Pallo from getting behind. In the 36th minute, Jorge Lucero ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristofer Quilodrán was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. When Bruno Gronows came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Malloco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Gronows couldn't finish the play. Jorge Lucero scored 1-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristofer Quilodrán, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Timeteo Liñán to strike the kick off in the second half.
