Spectators: 6692 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1692, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Salbatore Santa María made the kick off which started today's match. Paipote AFC's Carlos Gustavo Lillo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 9th minute of play. The shot was stopped by José Ignacio Olavarrieta but with some difficulty. Carlos Gustavo Lillo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. 15 minutes into the match, Paipote AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Marull came free, but Eufrasio Marmentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eufrasio Marmentini didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mannuel Ceballos went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a defensive mix-up in Paipote AFC's zone, Mannuel Ceballos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eufrasio Marmentini came out of the goal and Mannuel Ceballos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Salbatore Santa María had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Ignacio Olavarrieta was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Gabriel Nancupel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gabriel Nancupel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. If Franco Jullian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eufrasio Marmentini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mannuel Ceballos's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the game, Franco Jullian cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. José Ignacio Olavarrieta was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd rose to their feet as Paipote AFC's Rogerio Alpi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Ignacio Olavarrieta. That made the score 3-1 after 46 minutes of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Nancupel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gabriel Nancupel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Ignacio Olavarrieta having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Franco Jullian made a precise shot to the right of José Ignacio Olavarrieta. Macul's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Franco Jullian struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. José Ignacio Olavarrieta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paipote AFC. Gabriel Nancupel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. José Ignacio Olavarrieta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute, Gabino Niño de Zepeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Macul's Eleuterio Marull in action when he in the 68th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Salbatore Santa María fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eufrasio Marmentini having to interfere. The supporters of Macul booed when Paipote AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Siredey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mannuel Ceballos struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Eufrasio Marmentini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macul. Eufrasio Marmentini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salbatore Santa María in the 84th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Macul's zone, Franco Jullian stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Ignacio Olavarrieta came out of the goal and Franco Jullian tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Macul's José Ignacio Olavarrieta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Nancupel in the 91st minute of play. In the 92nd minute Gabriel Nancupel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Ignacio Olavarrieta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Gabriel Nancupel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paipote AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gabriel Nancupel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Ignacio Olavarrieta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind Macul's goalkeeper José Ignacio Olavarrieta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Macul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
