The referee ignored Callampas FC's protests and gave Luis Javier Lecaroz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Callampas FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Luis Javier Lecaroz hit a great ball. Juan Pedro Tullet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Martínez Lamas having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Ofelio Olivar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Txomin Young was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Ofelio Olivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Txomin Young having to interfere. Luis Javier Lecaroz hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Ulises Alvarado charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ulises Alvarado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Callampas FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ulises Alvarado hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the game, Firmín Maiza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Reinaldo Martínez Lamas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismael Vallejo kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Graneros's Ofelio Olivar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Txomin Young narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Ofelio Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Callampas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nacho Pardo came free, but Txomin Young reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Reinaldo Martínez Lamas managed to avoid a goal in the 44thth minute, when Callampas FC's Luis Javier Lecaroz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Txomin Young made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ofelio Olivar in the 46th minute of play. Txomin Young stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nacho Pardo's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nacho Pardo to make the kick off. Juan Estevan Marcou kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Juan Pedro Tullet got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Txomin Young took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nacho Pardo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlo Ávila hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. If Ofelio Olivar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leopoldo Aichele's late challenge caught a Graneros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leopoldo Aichele helped the player get up and apologised. Graneros's Carlo Ávila shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 72nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Txomin Young but with some difficulty. In the 76th minute, Callampas FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nacho Pardo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 79 played minutes Callampas FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulises Alvarado. Ricard Zavala was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Reinaldo Martínez Lamas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Firmín Maiza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Callampas FC's Txomin Young played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nacho Pardo in the 83rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Ofelio Olivar could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Txomin Young however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Callampas FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Juan Pedro Tullet hit a great ball. When Ofelio Olivar came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Graneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ofelio Olivar couldn't finish the play. Graneros's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
