Cabrito's Valentín San Martín played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caupolicán Esteban in the 8th minute of play. After some careless play in the Cifuncho AFC defense, Hernán Allu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elizalde Garnham. The Cifuncho AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elizalde Garnham should have stopped the shot. Omar Abasolo charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Omar Abasolo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th match minute, Cifuncho AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Omar Abasolo to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Juan Miguel Duvauchelle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Podador Pequeño was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. Cabrito's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After a rather tough play, Cifuncho AFC's Orlando Martens got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Podador Pequeño in the 26th minute of play forced Cifuncho AFC's goalkeeper Elizalde Garnham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caupolicán Esteban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentín San Martín having to interfere. The supporters of Cifuncho AFC booed when Cabrito was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miren Niño de Zepeda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cifuncho AFC's goalkeeper Elizalde Garnham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elizalde Garnham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Podador Pequeño's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Miguel Duvauchelle to strike the kick off in the second half. If Hernán Allu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Cabrito's Podador Pequeño in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cifuncho AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After 55 played minutes Cifuncho AFC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Jose Guevara. In the 56th minute Albert Panzer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elizalde Garnham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Juan Miguel Duvauchelle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cifuncho AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Juan Miguel Duvauchelle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentín San Martín breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Caupolicán Esteban sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Valentín San Martín made an important save on a dangerous shot by Caupolicán Esteban in the 65th minute. If Juan Miguel Duvauchelle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 71 in the game by Juan Miguel Duvauchelle from a close distance when the talented Valentín San Martín managed to make a qualified save. Cabrito's players were relieved. Hernán Allu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Elizalde Garnham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Podador Pequeño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 91st minute, Hernán Allu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Elizalde Garnham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernán Allu in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
