When Enric Garay fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Canas FC's protests and gave Enric Garay a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Canas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enric Garay. Vicens Cox didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Tomás Cueto went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Damián Marshall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gonzalo Reccius in the 25th minute of play. Duardo Gandarillas kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes Canas FC got a freekick which was hit by Enric Garay. After a defensive mix-up in Canas FC's zone, Pedro Tomás Cueto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vicens Cox came out of the goal and Pedro Tomás Cueto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 32nd minute, Roberto Landon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Tomás Cueto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Fulgencio Galan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Reccius blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damián Marshall having to make a save. Vicens Cox showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Tomás Cueto in the 37th minute of the match. After 37 played minutes Canas FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Landon. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fulgencio Galan in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vicens Cox saved Canas FC from getting behind. In the 44th minute Fulgencio Galan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicens Cox saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, Palquibudi's Pedro Tomás Cueto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicens Cox narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fulgencio Galan made a kick off. The supporters of Palquibudi booed when Canas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Iturralde didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Eleuterio Roger came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Palquibudi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eleuterio Roger couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Palquibudi booed when Canas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bairon De la Fuente didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eleuterio Roger, 57 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Canas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fulgencio Galan came free, but Vicens Cox reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 60 minutes, Roberto Landon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canas FC and the Palquibudi players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 played minutes Canas FC got a freekick which was hit by Roberto Landon. Palquibudi's Eleuterio Roger was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Vicens Cox in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Fulgencio Galan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute of the match Eleuterio Roger sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicens Cox skillfully saved the ball. In the 81st minute, Pedro Tomás Cueto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Tomás Cueto in the 83rd minute of play forced Canas FC's goalkeeper Vicens Cox to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fulgencio Galan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Tomás Cueto succeeded in the game's 89th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-0. Canas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
