Christian Andrada charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Christian Andrada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th minute, one of Cachiyuyo FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cachiyuyo FC. Chacao AFC were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Cachiyuyo FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Félix Walton took the corner. Chacao AFC's Nemesio Ferrada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Retana in the 26th minute of play. Natalio Massenlli's late challenge caught a Cachiyuyo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Natalio Massenlli helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th match minute, Chacao AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Massenlli to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute, Luis Alberto Recasens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rómulo Botello scored 1-1 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pacífico Brizuela, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Cachiyuyo FC's zone, Ruperto Leyton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pacífico Brizuela came out of the goal and Ruperto Leyton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Cachiyuyo FC's Bonifacio Ardura got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Chacao AFC's Félix Walton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cachiyuyo FC. In the 47th match minute, Cachiyuyo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Molina to maneuver through the defense. In the 49th minute Rómulo Botello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pacífico Brizuela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Nemesio Ferrada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Retana, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ruperto Leyton in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pacífico Brizuela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rómulo Botello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pacífico Brizuela having to interfere. Cachiyuyo FC's Pacífico Brizuela proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Cachiyuyo FC from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alexandre Retana in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nemesio Ferrada saved Chacao AFC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Alberto Recasens in the 91st minute of play forced Chacao AFC's goalkeeper Nemesio Ferrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rómulo Botello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Rómulo Botello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cachiyuyo FC's Pacífico Brizuela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruperto Leyton in the 97th minute of play. When Luis Alberto Recasens came up free with the goalie in the 99th minute, the Cachiyuyo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Alberto Recasens couldn't finish the play.
