Pacífico Brizuela was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Juan Ignacio Nicolau's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pacífico Brizuela read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Alexandre Retana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Bonifacio Ardura came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Cachiyuyo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bonifacio Ardura couldn't finish the play. Pacífico Brizuela made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Alvar Daiber sent off a good shot on target. Alexandre Retana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 35th minute of the match José Alberto Arregui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damario Atria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Aguantao AFC booed when Cachiyuyo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zavier Madsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvar Daiber who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 42ndth minute tested the skills of Pacífico Brizuela when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 43rd match minute, Cachiyuyo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bonifacio Ardura to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Juan Ignacio Nicolau to strike the kick off in the second half. Cachiyuyo FC's Luis Alberto Recasens got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Luis Alberto Recasens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Retana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Damario Atria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Luis Alberto Recasens made a precise shot to the right of Damario Atria. Aguantao AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. 67 minutes into the game, Juan Carlos Mutis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aguantao AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cachiyuyo FC the free kick. Pacífico Brizuela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alvar Daiber, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Cachiyuyo FC's Alexandre Retana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Damario Atria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aguantao AFC's Juan Carlos Mutis got his second yellow card of the match in the 97th minute. The referee ordered Juan Carlos Mutis off the ground. With a left leg Damario Atria saved Aguantao AFC from getting behind. When the referee blew the final whistle, Aguantao AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Cachiyuyo FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
