Emilio Felipe Noti stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Severino Ansaldo's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. After a rather tough play, Hueilla FC's Ramiro Adriazola got a free kick in the 20th minute. Alessandro Sol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Mundaca hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Fabio Harriet came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Mapuhue FC's José Carlos Cea. But to his dismay, José Carlos Cea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alessandro Sol in the 36th minute of play forced Hueilla FC's goalkeeper Fabio Harriet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Carlos Cea sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alessandro Sol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If José Carlos Cea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute, Juan Alberto Traverso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severino Ansaldo was the one to do the kick off. Fabio Harriet didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 53rd minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Ansaldo in the 58th minute of play forced Mapuhue FC's goalkeeper Emilio Felipe Noti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Carlos Cea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Fabio Harriet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When José Carlos Cea came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Mapuhue FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Cea couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Hueilla FC's Adelino Yáñez got a free kick in the 66th minute. Mapuhue FC's Seran Blest got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Val Fontaner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Felipe Noti didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonathan Valdovinos went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. After 74 played minutes Mapuhue FC got a freekick which was hit by Seran Blest. Teodovico Marinot blasted a shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Harriet having to make a save. The supporters of Mapuhue FC booed when Hueilla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Valdovinos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alessandro Sol recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jonathan Valdovinos struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Emilio Felipe Noti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hueilla FC. 90 minutes into the match, Mapuhue FC's José Carlos Cea sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Harriet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mariano Mundaca's late challenge caught a Mapuhue FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mariano Mundaca helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Hueilla FC's Mariano Mundaca got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 95th minute, Mapuhue FC's Alessandro Sol ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fabio Harriet. Fabio Harriet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Mapuhue FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hueilla FC.
