Nicanor Sir recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 21 minutes, Savier Socho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polcura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Savier Socho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Nicanor Sir in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Juliano Covarrubias saved Polcura from getting behind. Polcura's Juliano Covarrubias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Polcura from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Leonel Skewes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nicanor Sir received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Juliano Covarrubias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Colo Colo's goal looked a bit too open when Savier Socho came free, but Saúl Boonen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After having played for 52 minutes, Hipolito Manieu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Polcura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipolito Manieu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in Colo Colo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 61st minute. Penalty! Juliano Covarrubias stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Leonel Skewes's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. After 84 played minutes Colo Colo got a freekick which was hit by Washington Antoncich. When Colo Colo's Nicanor Sir in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Polcura's goalie prevented a goal. Juliano Covarrubias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Skewes, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Although Colo Colo had been in control for most of the match, Polcura still came away with the win.
