The tension between the Marchihue AFC and the Arauco players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Arauco booed when Marchihue AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caupolicán Eyzaguirre didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eric Vallejo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogerio Massenlli having to interfere. 13 minutes into the game, Marchihue AFC's Teodosio Aspillaga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eder Bear made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Eder Bear made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Teodosio Aspillaga sent off a good shot on target. Teodosio Aspillaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Eder Bear made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Marchihue AFC's zone, Eric Vallejo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rogerio Massenlli came out of the goal and Eric Vallejo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inocencio Frontaura in the 24th minute of play forced Arauco's goalkeeper Eder Bear to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eder Bear showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Frontaura, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After 34 played minutes Arauco got a freekick which was hit by Fermín Munita. 40 minutes into the match, Maurilio Lezaeta notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Marchihue AFC's Rogerio Massenlli. Rogerio Massenlli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Vallejo in the 48th minute of play forced Marchihue AFC's goalkeeper Rogerio Massenlli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Teodosio Aspillaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Eder Bear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Teodosio Aspillaga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonatan Jaraquemada during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th minute, Jonatan Jaraquemada hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 64thth minute of the game Teodosio Aspillaga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arauco's Eder Bear was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Marchihue AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Maximiliano Couve hit a great ball. Teodosio Aspillaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Eder Bear tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd match minute, Marchihue AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florentino Alvear to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Narciso Araus from long distance, 73 minutes into the match, got Rogerio Massenlli's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arauco's goalkeeper Eder Bear, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Maurilio Lezaeta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Rogerio Massenlli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 84 minutes into the match, Marchihue AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Eric Vallejo came free, but Rogerio Massenlli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maurilio Lezaeta scored 1-3 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rogerio Massenlli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rogerio Massenlli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Vallejo in the 92nd minute of play. After 94 played minutes Marchihue AFC got a freekick which was hit by Florentino Alvear. Maurilio Lezaeta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rogerio Massenlli having to make a save. When the match was over Arauco could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Marchihue AFC throughout the match.
