When Alex Ayala came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Guerreros F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Ayala couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the game, Uriel Cifuentes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Marín Arriola was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alex Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Valverde having to interfere. A collision led to Mulpulmo getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Moncho Garbiso hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Guerreros F.C's Honorato Acuña broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 16th minute Eufrasio Moya shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marín Arriola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Eufrasio Moya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marín Arriola. Guerreros F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eufrasio Moya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After a rather tough play, Guerreros F.C's Alex Ayala got a free kick in the 25th minute. In the 28th minute Alex Ayala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luciano Valverde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Moncho Garbiso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mulpulmo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreros F.C the free kick. In the 30th minute, Moncho Garbiso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute of the match Honorato Acuña shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luciano Valverde showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Alex Ayala struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Luciano Valverde didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guerreros F.C. The audience thought a goal was coming when Inocente Soffia got free with Luciano Valverde in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Honorato Acuña made a great header on Guerreros F.C's corner, it was just that Mulpulmo's Luciano Valverde managed to reach the ball for a save. Inocente Soffia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Luciano Valverde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th match minute, Mulpulmo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elodio Barroso to maneuver through the defense. When Alex Ayala came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Guerreros F.C fans jumped to their feet. Luciano Valverde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Ayala in the 48th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eufrasio Moya made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Ayala in the 51st minute of play forced Mulpulmo's goalkeeper Luciano Valverde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 53 minutes into the game, Alex Ayala cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Luciano Valverde was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Inocente Soffia in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luciano Valverde prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Guerreros F.C booed when Mulpulmo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidelio Baburizza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inocente Soffia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Ayala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luciano Valverde having to interfere. Luciano Valverde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inocente Soffia in the 63rd minute of play. Eufrasio Moya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marín Arriola having to interfere. 78 minutes into the game, Celedonio Ugas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guerreros F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mulpulmo the free kick. A collision led to Guerreros F.C getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Celedonio Ugas hit a great ball. The Guerreros F.C fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when Guerreros F.C's Inocente Soffia looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
