The Huancarane AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Enrique Mariano Reccius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edelmiro Matute, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Cristián Huidobro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Mariano Reccius having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristián Huidobro in the 19th minute of play forced Altar AFC's goalkeeper Enrique Mariano Reccius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Altar AFC's Narciso Huenul was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Enrique Mariano Reccius stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edelmiro Matute's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Narciso Huenul in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Máximo Lozano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Cristián Huidobro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Huancarane AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Narciso Huenul scored to the left of an out of position Máximo Lozano, making the score, 2-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristián Huidobro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Altar AFC's zone, Edelmiro Matute stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enrique Mariano Reccius came out of the goal and Edelmiro Matute tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cristián Huidobro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 55th match minute, Altar AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horacio Balbontín to maneuver through the defense. In the 60th minute of the match Altar AFC got a corner. Huancarane AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rómulo Manzano ran over to the corner to take the kick. A very nice done corner allowed Ceandro Balbontín to score against Máximo Lozano in Huancarane AFC's goal. 3-2 after 61 minutes. Cristián Huidobro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Altar AFC got a freekick which was hit by Poulus Losada. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Cristián Huidobro took a quick shot and it went in 3-3 without a chance for Enrique Mariano Reccius to make any attempt to save it. 72 minutes into the match, Huancarane AFC's Cristián Huidobro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Enrique Mariano Reccius narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Horacio Balbontín hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Edelmiro Matute came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Huancarane AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edelmiro Matute couldn't finish the play. Máximo Lozano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valiente Iñiguez in the 76th minute of the match. When Poulus Losada fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Altar AFC's protests and gave Poulus Losada a yellow card for diving instead. Poulus Losada hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Altar AFC's Adalberto Mac Kenzie got a free kick in the 81st minute. Valiente Iñiguez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Máximo Lozano having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Altar AFC's Valiente Iñiguez sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Máximo Lozano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Altar AFC getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Poulus Losada hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Cristián Huidobro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Enrique Mariano Reccius was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4. The Huancarane AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Huancarane AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
