After 64 played minutes Huarilihue got a freekick which was hit by Saturnín Cordero. Víctor Javier Arcangel might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Siluna Carillanca. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Víctor Javier Arcangel ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 71 minutes, Madeo Alvarado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Huarilihue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Madeo Alvarado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Malloco's Juan Manuel Parrini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Malloco from getting a goal against them. In the 78th minute, Xalvador Calderón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xalvador Calderón in the 83rd minute of play forced Huarilihue's goalkeeper Siluna Carillanca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Siluna Carillanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Víctor Javier Arcangel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 90 minutes into the match, Huarilihue's goal looked a bit too open when Xalvador Calderón came free, but Siluna Carillanca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Huarilihue were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Malloco's much stronger midfield.
