Juan Carlos Señoret showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Javier Cabedo in the 17th minute of the match. After 20 played minutes Tranqui got a freekick which was hit by Maximino Caticura. 29 minutes into the match, Cautinisca's goal looked a bit too open when Humberto Iturriaga came free, but Tobías Warner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Olarra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Juan Carlos Señoret made a huge save. Juan Carlos Señoret took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Javier Cabedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, José Javier Cabedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cautinisca's supporters rose to their feet, but José Javier Cabedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Carlos Señoret breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and José Alberto Ruiz Tagle made a kick off. In the 52nd minute José Javier Cabedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Carlos Señoret saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a left leg Juan Carlos Señoret saved Tranqui from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Tranqui's zone, José Javier Cabedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Carlos Señoret came out of the goal and José Javier Cabedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cautinisca's José Javier Cabedo got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Tranqui's zone, José Javier Cabedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Juan Carlos Señoret came out of the goal and José Javier Cabedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Humberto Iturriaga got free with Tobías Warner in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
