Filiberto Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Candido Araoz having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Saturnín Torrijo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Planchada's supporters rose to their feet, but Saturnín Torrijo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobías Warner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 9th match minute, Cautinisca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Olarra to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Filiberto Urbano made a precise shot to the right of Candido Araoz. Planchada's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After 21 minutes, Jacinto Olarra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cautinisca and the Planchada players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes Planchada got a freekick which was hit by Prudentio Urtubia. Cautinisca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Moncho Aracena in the 44th minute. Cautinisca's Moncho Aracena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Candido Araoz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

One of Planchada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cautinisca:s goal. Moncho Aracena placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Cautinisca's Tobías Warner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jasone Solorzano in the 70th minute of play. A collision led to Planchada getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Prudentio Urtubia hit a great ball. Saturnín Torrijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Tobías Warner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Candido Araoz managed to avoid a goal in the 83rdth minute, when Cautinisca's Filiberto Urbano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 86 played minutes Cautinisca got a freekick which was hit by Moncho Aracena. Filiberto Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cautinisca's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Planchada had won, even though Cautinisca had held more of the ball.
