The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nafarroa Partarrieu in the 48th minute of play forced Cautinisca's goalkeeper Tobías Warner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The wind increased when Miliano Luco made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Chanabaya's zone, Filiberto Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. José Francisco Beltrán came out of the goal and Filiberto Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Nafarroa Partarrieu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chanabaya's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nafarroa Partarrieu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filiberto Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Francisco Beltrán read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. José Javier Cabedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Moncho Aracena hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Tobías Warner was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Alcadio Varela. 75 minutes in the game, Miliano Luco fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tobías Warner having to interfere. If José Javier Cabedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With an all-out effort, Chanabaya's Tobías Warner threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Miliano Luco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucián Arce during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miliano Luco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Cautinisca fully deserved thier win.
