Jeronimo Abad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Uriel Thompson, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. The supporters of Charahue booed when Limahuida AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aristides Villagra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gaitán Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Uriel Thompson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joaquin Mauad struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Jeronimo Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limahuida AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaitán Lezaeta in the 23rd minute of play forced Limahuida AFC's goalkeeper Leonardo Lavaque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 24 played minutes Limahuida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Aristides Villagra. 25 minutes into the game, Joaquin Mauad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limahuida AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charahue the free kick. Joaquin Mauad hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Gaitán Lezaeta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gaitán Lezaeta came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Charahue fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gaitán Lezaeta couldn't finish the play. Charahue's Clemente Valdivia suffered a sore knee after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. 42 minutes into the game, Zenaido Green was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Limahuida AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Charahue the free kick. The Limahuida AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. José Alejandro Massa was the one to do the kick off. When Uriel Thompson came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Limahuida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Thompson couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the match, Charahue's goal looked a bit too open when Uriel Thompson came free, but Jeronimo Abad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jeronimo Abad showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Limahuida AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquin Mauad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeronimo Abad made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Joaquin Mauad sent off a good shot on target. Leonardo Lavaque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Alejandro Massa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Limahuida AFC's Zenaido Green got a free kick in the 75th minute. Limahuida AFC's Uriel Thompson got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Limahuida AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Charahue:s goal. Charahue's defense didn't have a chance, in the 94th minute, when Uriel Thompson scored to the left of an out of position Jeronimo Abad, making the score, 2-2. Aristides Villagra struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Jeronimo Abad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Limahuida AFC. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
