Jose Nikola made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulises Rueda in the 4th minute of play. Jose Nikola took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amato Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Angelillo Catoni hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, Club Azul's Ondino Maino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Niguel Zanetta. Niguel Zanetta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Club Azul's Jose Nikola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amato Raymond in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th match minute, Lupica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angelillo Catoni to maneuver through the defense. If Ondino Maino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Quintán Dagorret during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Quintán Dagorret hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Club Azul's Niguel Zanetta threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Luis Javier Paz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Jose Nikola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelillo Catoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Constancio León managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Constancio León was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Niguel Zanetta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Ondino Maino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ondino Maino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 34th match minute, Lupica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Quintán Dagorret to maneuver through the defense. Quintán Dagorret hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Flavinho Guedes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Niguel Zanetta. Lupica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Club Azul's goal looked a bit too open when Ulises Rueda came free, but Jose Nikola reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jose Nikola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amato Raymond, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Ondino Maino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Ulises Rueda's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jose Nikola firmly grabbed it by the left post. Amato Raymond kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. The supporters of Club Azul booed when Lupica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Owen didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match Loreto Seco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niguel Zanetta showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Constancio León scored 2-0 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Niguel Zanetta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constancio León in the 74th minute of play forced Lupica's goalkeeper Niguel Zanetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ondino Maino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Niguel Zanetta was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. A collision led to Lupica getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Alvar Alcedo hit a great ball. When Club Azul's Ondino Maino in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Club Azul's Hermengildo Leoiar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constancio León in the 87th minute of play forced Lupica's goalkeeper Niguel Zanetta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvino Moreno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Niguel Zanetta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Niguel Zanetta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvino Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the Lupica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Azul.
