The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Serafín Abrego didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juan Luis Mosca went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Juan Luis Mosca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafín Abrego having to interfere. Esequiel Rosales fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arcadio Grez having to interfere. When Juan Luis Mosca came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Quillaipe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan Luis Mosca couldn't finish the play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Esequiel Rosales to make the kick off. With a little luck, Quillahue's Serafín Abrego got control of the ball when Juan Luis Mosca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martino Barnard in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arcadio Grez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56th match minute, Quillaipe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Abrahamsohn to maneuver through the defense. In the 58th minute Leovigildo Mejia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arcadio Grez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 59th minute, Martino Barnard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Serafín Abrego took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamariz Antoncich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Quillaipe's Tamariz Antoncich ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Serafín Abrego. Serafín Abrego yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. A collision led to Quillaipe getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Pedro Manuel Monge hit a great ball. 89 minutes into the match, Quillahue's Esequiel Rosales sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arcadio Grez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martino Barnard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Quillaipe eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
