Ervigio Balcazar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arcadio Grez having to interfere. Arcadio Grez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ervigio Balcazar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Juan Jesus Gorostizaga in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arcadio Grez saved Quillaipe from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juan Jesus Gorostizaga in the 15th minute of play forced Quillaipe's goalkeeper Arcadio Grez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Ervigio Balcazar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 26th minute, Juan Jesus Gorostizaga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juan Jesus Gorostizaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Franco Canadiense's Ervigio Balcazar got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ervigio Balcazar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Arcadio Grez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Luis Mosca's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 33rdth minute, Benedicto Claro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Agustín Quiñones hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. When Guido Zorondo came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Franco Canadiense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guido Zorondo couldn't finish the play. If Ervigio Balcazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Quillaipe defense, Juan Jesus Gorostizaga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arcadio Grez. The Quillaipe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arcadio Grez should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Franco Canadiense's Agustín Quiñones got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute of the match Aurelio Hiriart sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedicto Claro skillfully saved the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tamariz Antoncich made a kick off. Arcadio Grez didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 1-3. Benedicto Claro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Luis Mosca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guido Zorondo took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arcadio Grez. Arcadio Grez dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Juan Luis Mosca took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedicto Claro. Arcadio Grez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdurrezzak Mazhar in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Quillaipe booed when Franco Canadiense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agustín Quiñones didn't get a good kick on the ball.
