CA Arerbac's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nazario Cienfuegos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonio Mendieta, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After a rather tough play, Linderos's Enric Wood got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Linderos's zone, Juanjo Rivadeneira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nazario Cienfuegos came out of the goal and Juanjo Rivadeneira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Mendieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toni León hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. In the 98th minute Juanjo Rivadeneira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nazario Cienfuegos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
