Domingo Aguila received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Carlos Gustavo Bay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Colihue's Carlos Gustavo Bay got control of the ball when Domingo Aguila tried to sneak it across the goal line. Domingo Aguila blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Gustavo Bay having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Savier Mendieta's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Demetrio Manzoli was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. Carlos Gustavo Bay made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingo Aguila in the 18th minute. If Domingo Aguila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. After 31 minutes, Simón Renard mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Colihue and the NUEVA AURORA players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 31 played minutes Colihue got a freekick which was hit by Simón Renard. When Horacio Dutard fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NUEVA AURORA's protests and gave Horacio Dutard a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Horacio Dutard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Román Zambrano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 42nd minute. NUEVA AURORA's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. NUEVA AURORA's Román Zambrano got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 44th minute, Domingo Aguila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Román Zambrano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 48th minute by Domingo Aguila got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caupolicán Zubelzu to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Colihue booed when NUEVA AURORA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Delfino Guemes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caupolicán Zubelzu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Román Zambrano scored 2-0 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carlos Gustavo Bay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 60th minute Horacio Dutard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Gustavo Bay saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. NUEVA AURORA's Domingo Aguila got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Domingo Aguila fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Gustavo Bay having to interfere. Román Zambrano took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Gustavo Bay. Carlos Gustavo Bay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Román Zambrano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Gustavo Bay having to interfere. NUEVA AURORA made a substitution. Mercurio Aparicio replaced Horacio Dutard. In the 86th minute, Domingo Aguila ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for NUEVA AURORA. Lolo Almoraza stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Carlos Gustavo Bay. 5-0. Román Zambrano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlos Gustavo Bay having to make a save.
