The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Minetue. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for manchester. Blanco Armstrong stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alberto Barrenechea. 1-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xosé Martini to make the kick off. Nestor Alonso kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. If Xosé Martini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Topocho Lattanzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemesio Trumbull in the 59th minute of the match. Minetue's Alberto Barrenechea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xosé Martini in the 61st minute of play. Blanco Armstrong kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After 67 played minutes, Minetue's Leopoldo Jacinto Jimenez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Topocho Lattanzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Minetue reached it. After 83 played minutes, Minetue's Leopoldo Jacinto Jimenez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Topocho Lattanzi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Minetue reached it. 84 minutes into the match, manchester's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Trumbull came free, but Topocho Lattanzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarías Godoy got in the 85th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Topocho Lattanzi handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Minetue's Nemesio Trumbull got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Minetue booed when manchester was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casimiro Salamo didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Zacarías Godoy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Topocho Lattanzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Topocho Lattanzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zacarías Godoy's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. manchester had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
