Petorca's Pol Martel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Soto Tapia in the 43rd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rogerio Abaitua to make the kick off. With a little luck, Petorca's Pol Martel got control of the ball when Ernesto Soto Tapia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Omar Lyon's late challenge caught a JAIVAteam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omar Lyon helped the player get up and apologised. JAIVAteam's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
