The referee ignored Quechereguas's protests and gave Alonso Oñederra a yellow card for diving instead. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Quechereguas reached it. The audience was convinced that Gabriel Schlubach's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eric Arostegui was relentless in the 76th minute of the game.
