Eric Arostegui made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Eric Arostegui came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bayern München's Fausto Maturana. But to his dismay, Fausto Maturana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Eric Arostegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Luis Tassara's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. In the 18th minute, Fausto Maturana left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Bayern München fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Eric Arostegui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Luis Tassara's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. Alonso Oñederra hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Eric Arostegui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Maturana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fausto Maturana struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Eric Arostegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bayern München. Eric Arostegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Maturana in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute Horacio Harun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eric Arostegui saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Maturana in the 43rd minute of play forced Quechereguas's goalkeeper Eric Arostegui to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Luis Tassara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Fausto Maturana made the kick off in the second half. Fausto Maturana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Eric Arostegui made a huge save. When Horacio Harun came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the FC Bayern München fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Harun couldn't finish the play. If Laureano Echeverz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laureano Echeverz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the match, Francisco Ignacio Raineri notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of FC Bayern München's Andrés Peraza. Andrés Peraza was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Fausto Maturana in the 72ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Eric Arostegui, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Eric Arostegui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Maturana in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Francisco Ignacio Raineri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quechereguas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Ignacio Raineri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 83rd minute, Quechereguas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fausto Maturana fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Horacio Harun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fausto Maturana received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eric Arostegui came out and tried to block the shot, but Fausto Maturana slotted it home off the left post making it 1-5 in the 88th minute. A hard shot 92 in the game by Fausto Maturana from a close distance when the talented Eric Arostegui managed to make a qualified save. Quechereguas's players were relieved. After a defensive mix-up in Quechereguas's zone, Fausto Maturana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eric Arostegui came out of the goal and Fausto Maturana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Horacio Harun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Eric Arostegui made a huge save. Horacio Harun struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Eric Arostegui didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bayern München.
