León Santander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel De la Barra in the 41st minute of the match. Baraquiel Irarrázaval who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 43rdth minute tested the skills of Roberto Delgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Metrenco's Baraquiel Irarrázaval got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The Metrenco fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. After a rather tough play, Metrenco's Guillermo Orihuela got a free kick in the 86th minute. José Antonio Davis kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Metrenco's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
