The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Andoni Illanes Ansaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Laguneros's supporters rose to their feet, but Andoni Illanes Ansaldo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victorino Roa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andoni Illanes Ansaldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Laguneros getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Xulián Fontaner hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Deporte Provincial Osorno's Emanuel Trivelli got a free kick in the 15th minute. After 18 played minutes, Laguneros's Hermenegildo Gipoulou shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Victorino Roa came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Laguneros reached it. After having played for 23 minutes, Federico Iglesias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Laguneros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Iglesias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Laguneros booed when Deporte Provincial Osorno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Markmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jesus Marine didn't quite understand what happened when in the 33 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Laguneros's Federico Iglesias got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Andoni Illanes Ansaldo put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Victorino Roa. In the 43rd minute, Andoni Illanes Ansaldo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Laguneros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Victorino Roa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Federico Iglesias in the 48th minute of the match. The Deporte Provincial Osorno players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Laguneros were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Federico Iglesias to strike the kick off in the second half. Juliano Maffey struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Juan Alberto Farren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Deporte Provincial Osorno. A collision led to Laguneros getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Elias Hormann hit a great ball. Federico Iglesias recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Eladio Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Andoni Illanes Ansaldo came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Laguneros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andoni Illanes Ansaldo couldn't finish the play. Deporte Provincial Osorno's Victorino Roa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Federico Iglesias in the 78th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Deporte Provincial Osorno's goalkeeper Victorino Roa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andoni Illanes Ansaldo. Laguneros's Jesus Marine shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 85th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Victorino Roa but with some difficulty. In the 88th minute Federico Iglesias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victorino Roa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Andoni Illanes Ansaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victorino Roa having to interfere. Victorino Roa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Federico Iglesias in the 91st minute of play. Juliano Maffey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Alberto Farren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eladio Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Laguneros played a much better game than Deporte Provincial Osorno and deserved their victory. The Deporte Provincial Osorno players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
