With an all-out effort, Lastarria FC's Pere Unger threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Baudelio Walton, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Pere Jordi Moran fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estrella Solitaria's protests and gave Pere Jordi Moran a yellow card for diving instead. 67 minutes into the match, Estrella Solitaria's goal looked a bit too open when Eusebio Faivovich came free, but Pere Unger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69thth minute of the game Normando Sotomayor who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lastarria FC's Francisco Antonio Antúnez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Lastarria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Normando Sotomayor came free, but Francisco Antonio Antúnez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gabino Antonucci succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-3 in the 88th playminute. Estrella Solitaria's Normando Sotomayor got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Normando Sotomayor might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisco Antonio Antúnez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Normando Sotomayor ran back to his position shaking his head. When the final whistle went the supporters of Lastarria FC were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Estrella Solitaria side.
