Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lanco's Donato Tapia got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the last second Manolo Mateluna throw himself and got hold of the ball when Donato Tapia in the 56thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Visen Ferrari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lanco's supporters rose to their feet, but Visen Ferrari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo Mateluna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xavián Llana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ángel Schulz, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Lanco's zone, Narcomillo Rojo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavián Llana came out of the goal and Narcomillo Rojo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 93 minutes into the match, FC Barcelona's Narcomillo Rojo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xavián Llana narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Narcomillo Rojo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavián Llana having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Narcomillo Rojo in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Xavián Llana saved Lanco from getting behind.
