Gabino Arata stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alipio Galan's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. In the 4thth minute of the game Alipio Galan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cozcoz's Gabino Arata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Estevan Salamanca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruperto Bacigalupo in the 10th minute of the match. The supporters of Pajaritos booed when Cozcoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celedonio Fritis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Cozcoz's Delfino Montiel got a free kick in the 16th minute. If Alipio Galan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Marco Ferrari managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pajaritos's supporters rose to their feet, but Marco Ferrari was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gabino Arata breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Estevan Salamanca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celedonio Fritis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vladimiro Recasens hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Celedonio Fritis hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Gabino Arata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Maria Diena, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Through an outstanding action, after 39 minutes, Gabino Arata successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alipio Galan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Gabino Arata tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jose Esteban Bessoayn made a kick off. Gabino Arata came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Pajaritos's Marco Ferrari. But to his dismay, Marco Ferrari quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Alipio Galan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabino Arata having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruperto Bacigalupo got free with Estevan Salamanca in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gabino Arata made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alipio Galan in the 69th minute of play. Gabino Arata showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alipio Galan, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Alipio Galan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pajaritos's Marco Ferrari got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 78th minute Alipio Galan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabino Arata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Marco Ferrari made a precise shot to the right of Gabino Arata. Cozcoz's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vladimiro Recasens during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Cozcoz getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Vladimiro Recasens hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alipio Galan in the 84th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabino Arata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Cozcoz's zone, Alcides Laferte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabino Arata came out of the goal and Alcides Laferte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute, Nilson da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 89th minute, when Cozcoz's Vladimiro Recasens after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Estevan Salamanca in Pajaritos's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Francisco Miguel Parrini struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Estevan Salamanca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cozcoz.
