Spectators: 6697 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1697, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vinos Doberti took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ismael Nazario Ferrel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Timeteo Gatica having to interfere. The referee ignored Hornillas FC's protests and gave Washington Esparza a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Algorta booed when Hornillas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Esparza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicanor Abbatte was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Timeteo Gatica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Dessauer, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Evelio Castelblanco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hornillas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Algorta the free kick. Vinos Doberti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Bairon Mofre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 minutes of play, Algorta's Héctor Abeliuk made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Timeteo Gatica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hornillas FC. If Ismael Nazario Ferrel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Héctor Abeliuk in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bairon Mofre prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd match minute, Algorta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jerardo Santa Ana to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 34 minutes, Omar Dessauer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hornillas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Omar Dessauer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Algorta's goal looked a bit too open when Omar Dessauer came free, but Timeteo Gatica reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hornillas FC's goalkeeper Bairon Mofre, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With his leg Timeteo Gatica managed to avoid a goal in the 40thth minute, when Hornillas FC's Ismael Nazario Ferrel fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 42 minutes into the match, Hornillas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Héctor Abeliuk came free, but Bairon Mofre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bairon Mofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Héctor Abeliuk in the 44th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

In the 66th minute, Héctor Abeliuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 70 minutes into the match, Vinos Doberti notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Hornillas FC's Bairon Mofre. Bairon Mofre was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A well done corner resulted in Emilio Felipe Fiedler drilling the ball in to score 1-2 behind Algorta's goalkeeper. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Algorta had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
