Plácido Polanco took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Saverio Scheuermann. Saverio Scheuermann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 15th minute, Andy Maristany got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Academia Racing! In the 18th minute there was a penalty for ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™. Andy Maristany stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Saverio Scheuermann. 0-2. Plácido Polanco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Plácido Polanco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Saverio Scheuermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Maristany in the 29th minute of play forced Academia Racing's goalkeeper Saverio Scheuermann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Bruce Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce Harper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saverio Scheuermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruce Harper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Scheuermann having to interfere. Andy Maristany's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saverio Scheuermann read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Bruce Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruce Harper was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Plácido Polanco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saverio Scheuermann came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s Andy Maristany. But to his dismay, Andy Maristany quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some careless play in the Academia Racing defense, Plácido Polanco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saverio Scheuermann. The Academia Racing fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saverio Scheuermann should have stopped the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Plácido Polanco was the one to do the kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Plácido Polanco took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Saverio Scheuermann to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Bruce Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce Harper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saverio Scheuermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andy Maristany fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Scheuermann having to interfere. Saverio Scheuermann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Maristany, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Bruce Harper managed to get in a good position for a shot. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s supporters rose to their feet, but Bruce Harper was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Saverio Scheuermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andy Maristany could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Saverio Scheuermann made a huge save. Saverio Scheuermann was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Plácido Polanco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Plácido Polanco really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™ made a substitution. Adolfo Uriarte replaced Diego Armando Pasten. Andy Maristany struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Saverio Scheuermann didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™. ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™'s Andy Maristany got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Saverio Scheuermann was a little too slow when Andy Maristany got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 83rd minute. The score was now 0-7. Edelmiro Marx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Saverio Scheuermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adolfo Uriarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saverio Scheuermann having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Andy Maristany had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Saverio Scheuermann. Academia Racing's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Andy Maristany was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. Academia Racing's Saverio Scheuermann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Academia Racing from getting a goal against them. When the final whistle sounded ❃ Yerbateros FC ❃ FIFV™ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Academia Racing.
